I have gone through many up's and down's through my fairly short life. As some of you might know, I have been an alcoholic from the age of 16 to the age of 21. The years I spend being an alcoholic was the absolute worst of my life, but when I made the big decision of quitting alcohol all together back in 2011, my life - slowly - started getting better every day. Today I'm the happiest I've ever been, and I can't wait to get out of bed and start a new day with everything as it should be. Of course, drinking has caused me (and my family and friends) a lot of heart ache, but I also believe that it was something I had to go through to get to "the other side" and finally become the person I've always wanted to be.
After dropping out of high school (due to my alcoholism) 4 months before graduation, I found myself at an all time low. However, after I moved to Roskilde, I started at VUC Roskilde in 2010, where I'm taking classes in those subjects I didn't get to finish in high school. It's taken a while, but if all goes as planned, I will graduate in 2014. However, it's not a bad thing at all. I've met so many incredible people at VUC, and almost all of my closest friends attends or have attended VUC. So even though I'm looking forward to move on and start at university in 2014, I must admit I will miss VUC and the people I've met there.
I started fat&fancy back in 2010, and back then it was all about plus size fashion and (bad) outfit pictures. Today the blog is so much more. There's still outfits, but I also blog about loads of other stuff. I know that some people only want to see certain things, such as for example outfit posts, but I love to blog about everything and nothing. Whenever I get inspired I tend to form a blog post in my head, and most days I make sure to have some form of camera on me so I have the opportunity to snap a picture of the thing that inspired me. Mostly though, the picture snapping takes place at home ;)
fat&fancy is about a little bit of everything; outfits, fashion, food, interior design, positive thinking and much much more.
